The department of Mechanical Engineering, started in 2010, offers the under graduate programme,B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. In compliance to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU)syllabus, the department provides sufficient academic as well as industrial training to the students toemerge as Mechanical Engineering Professionals and ensures their bright future. The classes arehandled by experienced and young faculty members. The students are exposed to the latest industrial developments by organizing Industrial Visits to reputed firms and Seminars by industrial professionals.There has been an association named ARMETS in pursuit of technical and non technical seminars presentation, students and faculty welfare and recreation activities, projects etc. The department always tries to keep a harmony so that the students as well as faculties are satisfied by implementing activities like mentoring. Also department publishes monthly news letter, contributes to the Engineering journals and encourages internal and external paper presentations.
The department has excellent infrastructure which include sufficient lab facilities, class rooms, well maintained and updated library facilities etc.
